I had a friend with one. It was like a Crown Vic, but worse in every way.

That is actually not an LHS. That is a Chrysler Concorde with LHS badging added. Here we have the Chrysler LHS:
Here is a Chrysler Concorde:
Note the difference in the DLO and rear roof of the cabin between the LHS and the Concorde. The LHS has a much more upright rear window and quarter glass in the back doors.

Pretty much, and by an amount that you’d notice every day.

Damn, that Concorde looks so swollen. I can hear it whisper “kill me”.

It’s hard to fathom a group of people making 7 figures, sat around a table and as a majority decided that was acceptable..

I do remember, but I’d be happy to forget.

First: there was a second gen LHS?
Follow up: and it was a rebadged Concorde?

I knew they were all the same platform, my dad had an LHS and a 300M. I didn’t know there was the second gen of the LHS. Or didn’t remember. They were actually decent cars from what I remember, but they were bought new and only kept for 3-4 years each. I really liked the LHS because it had a ton of legroom riding in the back seat.
